@DIRECTORY select box - inheriting values

Hi,

I’ve a drop-down select Template Variable which is populated using

It has a default value of @INHERIT.

However @INHERIT is never used, because the first item in the select list is always selected. Is there a way to insert a blank ’Please Select’ item at the start?
