Chrome 39 warning while downloading modx 2.2.16

Today i downloaded modx-2.2.16-pl.zip and Chrome (Version 39.0.2171.71 m) warns about an unusual download which could be dangerous.

Anyone else getting this message?

Not getting any warning with Chrome 40.0.2214.28

Downloaded it with Chrome Version 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit) on OS X with no warning.

Windows Chrome 39.0.2171.71 m is triggering the message here. Exact message is "modx-2.2.16-pl.zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous."

Seems like a false positive (see below), but the warning is pretty darn disconcerting. Should MODX team request a review by Google? Here's a reference page: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/168328. Then again, if Chrome 40 doesn't trigger (per Dan), problem may self-resolve.

Notes

• 2.2.16-pl-advanced.zip also triggers the same error message
• modx-2.3.2-pl.zip does not trigger the message
• I previously downloaded traditional and advanced 2.2.16 on 2014-10-22 using Windows Chrome (whatever version was in play then) - neither triggered. Downloads from that date and those today that triggered Chrome's message are the same (identical SHA256)
• Tried downloading a few other older versions of 2.2.x (15, 14, and 11) traditional. All triggered Chrome today (but did not when I downloaded them when newly-released)
• Virustotal.com scans on traditional and advanced 2.2.16 report "Heur.Dual.Extensions" from Comodo, but Google search on that detection and modx shows comodo's "double-extension" in several forum posts here as a previously-reported red-herring from Comodo, per Jason. Note: 2.3.2 traditional has the same detection from Comodo even though it does not trigger Chrome
