I've recently begun working with MODX again (used Evo years back) and I'm slowly getting back into things but assume my current level of mastering every little thing is quite clunky (spent too many hours staring at the documentation!)

My current issue is that I don't fully comprehend the entire User mechanic or it isn't working as intended. I've made a very simple registration/login form and I tried setting up multiple User Groups and also only 1 with multiple roles instead.
I want create the discuss forum in such a simple way that I have:
Admins - Able to do everything (currently works)
Raiders ("Members") - Should be able to see all our forum categories in place except "Officers"
Registered Guests - Should only be able to see a limited amount of categories (all except "Raiding & Guild (Intern)")
So what I did:
- I created all the threads/categories and I'm using 3 User Groups (Administrator/Raiders/Users).
- When you register, you get assigned to Users: Registered User
- I sorted all our users into the respective groups (4 admins, rest raiders) and I have a test account as raider too so I can see how their perspective looks like
- I had to sort everyone twice? In both ACL and Extras > Dicuss
- I have created 2 roles outside of the standard ones and used this for testing registered user accounts mainly
# 0 Super User
# 1 Raider
# 2 Registered User
# 9999 Member
- Under each Board I added the same 4 admins as moderators
- Under each Board I added the name of the User Groups under Default which should have access e.g. Applications Default User Groups (Administrator, Raiders, Users) but Officers (Administrators) but Raiding & Guild Intern (Administrators, Raiders)
Am I missing something? Every time I request a User Group to have access to a certain board (ACL > Right-click > Update > Permissions > Check the ones that matter) I would get a small red triangle in the corner and it didn't feel like it was being written
Is there a server side FTP issue that I have not given everything write permit?
I've flushed the permissions after a few changes but nothing ever happens, I can see all the forums when I'm not a user, for some weird reason I can see 1 thread in Officers and 1 thread in Raiding & Guild Intern as Raider instead of none in Officers and all in R&G Intern.
I would need to get this resolved ideally today morning but thats no pressure, any help is tremendously appreciated
