Hi,
I have an old modx installation which needs upgrade. Current version is 2.1.3-pl and I need to upgrade it to currently latest 2.3.2-pl and if possible change standard installation to advanced.
I have some questions about it:
1. Is possible to upgrade it directly or is better to go step by step ?
2. If going step by step is better .. how many versions can I skip ? ..or what "mid" version should I use for upgrade?
3. Is there any problem to "transform" standard installation to "advanced" ? .. probably I just need to move stuff and update config file?
Another thing ... I moved it from server to my localhost and I can't login to manager anymore. Cache is cleared, website works just my login user doesn't work !!?? is this a known issue ? how can I fix it ? (user with same password works fine on server)
thanx for all the help
I would go step-by-step. MODX is supposed to apply all the intermediate upgrades, but there's at least one version where it doesn't happen, though I think that may be before your version. I'm just guessing, but I would try just using these versions (after backing up the site): 2.2.14, 2.2.15, 2.3.2.
Yea I thought so ... I'll go step by step. I wanted to upgrade it locally but after moving site to localhost my login doesn't work anymore ? ...any advice ?

Check the paths in the config.inc.php file, and empty the core/cache directory. Also clear your browser cache and cookies.
