    Hi, all!

I'm trying to use modx revo. as the framework of my site. I have a role of "editor" to edit documents under the access policy of "Content Editor", and you know he has no right to publish any documents. But when he is editing a document, the "published" checkbox is still there and checkable, even though it doesn't matter if it is checked, the document will be still stay unpublished after being saved. My question is, why don't just hide the elements which mean nothing to the operator, or I have made something wrong somewhere?

    Thanks in advance.

You can hide the published checkbox with Form Customization rules.

You can also let the user create or edit the document in the front end with NewsPublisher, in which case it's really easy to show just the resource fields and/or TVs you want them to see.
