In short, I’m looking into NewsPublisher to accomplish what I’ve written in the subject of this post, but don’t know if this is the right way to go, and still don’t know how to do btw.
Summying up:
When the user (with reserved access) goes into the page for editing news (which then will be retrieved and served through Ditto) he now has the default NewsPublisher form with the TinyMCE editor for content, the short title, the summary, the long title, and the pub date.
What I should add, is the possibility for that "editor" user to attach whatever amount of images, and whatever amount of files (pdf, zip, etc.), to the article.
Then, in reading mode for that article, I’ll have to provide in some way all that attached content, e.g. for images I’ll need to display them as thumbnails enlarged when clicked (lightbox or clones’ way), and for other stuff I’ll have to let the user download it with the browser.
Any directions to accomplish this in MODx will be very appreciated. I’ll be glad to write a wiki page for that, when (and if) I’ll succeed, as this could be useful in several situations for many users (and for my own reference in future).
