    Hello everybody,

    Dumb question. Where do I see the MODX version in the new manager (2.3.x).

    We are taking over a project from a developer and I need to install it. The Setup folder is not available and I need to download the correct version of 2.3. to install it on our dev server. I have access to the 'live' version but cannot for the live of me see the version in the new manager.

    (I am sure after the first answer I will go: duuuuuuh.)

    Thanks.
    Adrian

      You can see it in the System Settings, settings_version, or in the Reports->System Info.

        Or create a Dashboard widget, type HTML
        MODX Revolution v. [[++settings_version]]

        then put it in the default Dashboard at the top.

          Groovy, thanks. I guess being so used to seeing it in the header in MODX <2.3.x I never bothered to check anywhere else.

          I ended up grabbing the latest version of MODX anyhow and seem to have upgraded the site. Which would have had to be done anyhow.

          Thanks for the fast answer.

            There's an open issue on github to bring the version number back more prominently in a future release.

                I like it hidden, means nothing to the end user and is easier enough for a dev to find out.
