So I installed a MODx site and suddenly it’s behaving a bit odd. When I go to the Manager page to login (
http://finelinewood.com/manager/), it suddenly has added a security code field (which has never been there before). That’s not the problem though, the problem is that there is no security code image to read. Anyone got any suggestions to get around that? Obviously I have access to the server, but not sure how to do a work around in the backend.
Not sure why it was doing what it was doing, so I got impatient and just reloaded the newest version of MODx and am putting the site back together piece by piece.

Just for those who have the same problem, it would be nice to sum up how you solved it
This being said, captcha don’t enable themselves, you have changed the configuration most probably and then captcha didn’t work because more likely than not your server does not support GD or ImageMagick libraries.

Actually I didn’t figure out how to solve the problem but rather I just had to rebuild the site (which I know takes longer, but that’s the only way I could figure out how to do it) b/c I couldn’t figure out how to log back in. Later a friend told me I could have changed that setting in the database to turn off the Captcha manager verification, but I wasn’t sure where to look for that.
Yeh, I guessed the same about Captcha not enabling itself, but for the life of me I don’t remember changing that configuration setting. Actually my server supports GD and ImageMagick libraries as many elements of this site utilize this. To be honest, I have no idea what went wrong. I just write it off as my probably having set something up wrong.
