Evo 1.0.15 cant upload images or files

Upgraded a few sites from 1.0.14 to 1.0.15 and now the clients cant upload any file types.

Tested some older sites running 1.0.14 and older and they still work.

Same as normal but when the upload gets to 100% a error box appears with nothing in it, just a ! icon and a close button.

Any ideas?

Check file permissions and .htaccess seams to be the new tinymce as maxigallery still lets me upload pics.

Hmm, I don't have that problem after updating a 1.0.14 site.

Both 1.0.14 and 1.0.15 have TinyMCE 3.5.11, KCfinder isn't updated aswell.
- Can an Admin upload files?
- Any errors in logfile?
- Any server settings changes?

Right it must be a change in modx thats not liking something on my server.

- admin/me cant either.
- in the modx log nothing no errors.
- no as the old sites are still working.

On a fresh install I see this, which is new but it might be because its on a temp url not running on a domain yet.

500 Internal Server Error

The request was not completed. The server met an unexpected condition.


    IPHERE/~USERNAME/manager/media/browser/mcpuk/browse.php?type=files&lng=en&act=upload (port 80)

Maybe the upgrade didn't go flawless and maybe try to redo? or only TinyMCE folder?

Or some weird safety setting on your server I don't know.
Maybe repair tables in phpmyadmin.

I'm just freestyling here. Never had this problem.

Still no good. Tried re-installing from scratch on 2 old sites - now they have the same problem.

Tried on a clean temp url same problem as well.

Re-downloaded 1.0.15 from modx just in case and tried that as well.

Tried table repairs and nothing.

Must be a update with KCFinder?
No idea what what host settings to check.

Maybe its because you are on a "temperarely domain".
Could be the reason.

Option to test:
I don't know if you are on Windows?
you can set the site in a hostfile and reach the site with www.domain.com
(I always do this but the client can't see the site then.)

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

add:
99.12.345.678 domain.com
99.12.345.678 www.domain.com

make sure you FTP the site in in the correct folder like:
domains/domain.com/public_html/

Are all CHMOD correct?
On fresh install do you see errors?
this way you can see if the server settings are correct.

Moved the temp to a domain - still same problem.

The error goes back to empty box like the others.

Tried copying over the old tinymce and ckfinder folders and still no luck.

For now I changed the 3 sites back to 1.0.14 so they work again.

I do have some sites where I can't use KCFinder because the servers safemode setting is ON but if 1.0.14 works that is weird.

All I can come up with is htaccess, safemode or the images folder CHMOD 777 or 755 is somehow not correct.
