    Hi together,

am I right that at this moment there is no fully working richtext editor for Revo 2.3?
    See: https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/issues/11630

No feedback in that repositories since weeks. Is MODX slowly dying?

Or is it to promote Redactor as a premium extra? https://www.modmore.com/extras/redactor/

Which RTE do you use with Revo 2.3?

    Kind regards,
    Kersten

I have had no issue running CKEditor in any of the 2.3.x versions to date.

I haven't tried TinyMCE (got a little tired of that RTE's code conversion) but I have been running ckEditor and redactor in many of my 2.3 sites with no issue so far.

Interesting. CKEditor doesn't work at all for me in 2.3.x. Will have to see if it's been updated. Haven't had any issues with TinyMCE.

I didn't test both addons in Revo 2.3. But the information from thread "Extras Compatibility #11630" points to an incompatibility.

          TinyMCE 4.3.3:
          - Extras partially working in 2.3
          - TinyMCE 4.3.3-pl, working but some paths need updating, seems non-breaking atm though, maybe some issues with fullscreen-mode (@sepiariver, @sottwell, @linlex, @rainbowtiger)

          CKEditor 1.1.1:
          - Extras partially working in 2.3
          - CKEditor 1.1.1-pl danyaPostfactum/modx-ckeditor#17 (@exside)

I know that CKEditor is patched, see https://github.com/danyaPostfactum/modx-ckeditor/issues/17, but the package in the MODX Package Browser still is version 1.1.1 from April 02, 2014. I checked the files, they are not updated. I can update the corresponding file (manager/assets/components/ckeditor/modx.htmleditor.js) manually, but that is not THE solution.

No feedback on both repositories! I do not want to let my clients use buggy software...
BTW, TinyMCE is really outdated. So CKEditor is the option.
