I noticed when using a custom Property Set with the SimpleSearch call (as it applies to the instructions in this thread) that it breaks the ability to search specific (user-selected) folders. Though oddly enough it works fine when searching the entire site.
By "breaks" I mean it returns 0 (zero) results even though there are valid results to be found. Removing the Property Set fixes the problem. However, I'm not sure what specifically about the Property Set is causing the problem.
Just thought I would mention it.
