Answered Media Source - User Can't View Files

I set up a media source of the filesystem type. It was assigned to the user's group with minimum role less than the current user, and policy = "Media source User". When the user logs in, he sees the folder where existing images are located, but they are all white boxes with the red "x". How do I set the security where he can see these images, upload, delete other images?

Minimum role should be read backwards. The user needs an authority number *smaller* than the "minimum" in order to have the permissions apply.

That wasn't the problem. I changed the minimum to "Member", and he is a "Super User". I logged him out and back in, but the red "X" still appears on all images. Any more suggestions?

What policy did you use in the ACL entry? I sounds like the user may not have a necessary permission.

I'm not sure what the ACL entry is, but even my Administrator gets the red "X" on the files. I tried the changing the "Use Multibyte Extension" in the system settings to "No", as suggested here: http://www.maxy.com/modx-media-browser-not-showing-any-files/

That still didn't fix the Media Browser. How should I set it up where the site editor only has access to the file folder I designate? Is there a how-to document?

It's a good think to remember that in MODX, all path and URL settings end with a slash.
