    Hi,

MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:

Looks like the connection to the database has disappeared.
If you try accessing the Manager it reports
Failed to create the database connection!
. Please run the MODx install utility
Maybe your host has changed something in the server settings?
Have you tried logging in to the database via phpMyAdmin?
EDIT Better still look at ganeshXL’s post!

Just trying to get in touch with my host.

I can not imagine it can be something getting to big as I have a test website that noone sees really.
How would I do this anyway?

My host must have done something as all the sites are working again now smiley

Would like to know how long they were down for and why - so will be expecting some answers from them!

            Glad it’s up again.
Maybe your host was upgrading/rebooting the server.
They don’t usually bother to tell you, just let you panic for a bit wondering what’s wrong, checking everything your end, only to find out later it was them.
You can tell I’ve wasted many hours chasing my tail!

I had a similar "install modx" message yesterday. Turnout my host, Bluehost, where having server overloads. Certainly makes you sweat though. smiley
