I have not been to my modx control panel for a few months but i tried to access it today via my normal route (shared.mydomain.com) but now this directs me to a webuzo page saying i have "not uploaded the site content yet" - I have five sites that were built in Modx and have been there for the past few years with the odd periodic changes etc. How can i access the old control panel now?

Could your domain name have expired? That happened to me once when the domain registrar had an old email address for me and I didn't get the renewal notices.

You'll have to talk to your hosting provider, that's a server issue.

I couldn't load my sites on line so I contacted the hosting provider and they have come back to me saying " Looking further into this matter, I see that the domain "XXXXXXX.com" is redirecting to "shared.mydomain.com." I am able to get to files on the server:

            http://www.xxxxxxx.com/info.php
            http://www.xxxxxxx.com/Under%20Construction.jpg

I recommend contacting a developer to address this issue.

Anybody any thoughts on why things have come to this stage? Has there been a update on Modx that required certain actions to be taken by me?

If it's a Revolution install, look in the config.core.php file in the site root to see where the core is, then look under the directory it specifies for the /config/config.inc.php file (or something similar) and look in it to see what the Manager URL is. You should be able to get to the Manager Login with that URL.

I am totally lost on this as i am now fully out of my "comfort" zone - Is there some for a idiots step-by-step system i could follow? I don't know where the fault lies as both Modx and my hosting providver (Media Temple) both seem to have undergone a revamp recently and i don't know where the fault lies

It's pretty tough to give a step-by-step solution when we don't know what the problem is or even what version of MODX you're running.

I think i was using evolution and the main problem is that my normal access route (Via the shared.mydomain.com)has stop working (it still is in existance on my hosting provider)so i think i need to try and just find out how to get back to where it was and to figure out why it stop working so suddenly (traced it back to the 26th of October)

I don't mean to scare you, but it's quite possible that the site has been hacked if it's an older version of MODX. There are known security vulnerabilities in older versions.

Do you have access to cPanel for the domain where the site is?
