I’m pretty sure the FURL settings in the Manager are applied to all documents, without exception.
Might be better to think about using .htaccess and Rewrite the intro.html to intro ?

Or simply don’t use the suffix and make your aliases a.html, b.html, etc. In 0.9.7 you will have more granular control of suffixes (they are controlled by content-type and a whether or not they are a container), but you would still need to control a single exception to a text/html document to not include a suffix while the other text/html documents do include it.

If you only want to avoid using a suffix at all on one of your documents this is possible. MODx seems to output documents when reached with or without the suffix (at least on all the sites I have using ’/’ as the suffix - haven’t tried any other suffixes). You could create a plugin to edit any links created automatically (Wayfinder etc.) and output without suffix.

Not exactly scaleable, but easily possible with a small number of docs.

Suppose that as this is not documented you may not be able to rely on it in the future. I find it very useful though - for instance with sitemap XML files I just add the alias sitemap.xml and this works fine although all other files are served with ’/’ as the suffix.

What a brilliant idea! That is so simple.
