    Hi guys,

I have set up a site using Revo and have made some URL TVs. However, when I put a URL into these TVs when editing a Resource the Resource wont save - ModX just infinitely loops the saving progress bar. The same occurs whether I use http or https. The only way I can circumvent it is if I put the http in my template code such as:

    http://[[*urltv]]

but this is bad practice as links could be either http or https.

I've tried both Text and URL TV types too.

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

If you have specified that the TV is a URL type, then there is a drop-down to select what type of URL it is.

Ah yes thanks Susan. I've tried that too - adding the URL type with the drop down makes no difference unfortunately. Same with using a text TV type and adding the URL type manually.

Hm. I don't seem to have that problem. Can you provide an example of a URL that is giving you trouble, or is it any URL at all? What browser are you using?

That's starting to sound like a mod_security issue.

              This is an example: https://tmdb.biz/ati/CheckoutCourseScope.action?courseScope.id=138106&GUID=au.com.esalliance.tmdb.persistence.sfa.Affiliate-7af8feff-89cb-4a55-8d83-12844d5153c4

I'm using Chrome. It seems to happen with any URL proceeded by HTTP or HTTPS. WWW (eg: www.google.com) is ok.

Hmm can you elaborate Bob? Is there anything I can alter on that myself?

You need to ask your hosting tech support to check their mod_security logs at the time the operation is failing.

That URL doesn't cause me any problems, in any browser or using text or url type TVs.

Can you save a chunk with just the URL in it?

Yeah Chunks and Resource Content sections work fine. I can even paste it into a Rich Text TV (though if I turn off the WYSIWYG Rich Text Editor and paste it as 'HTML' it doesnt work).
