    I have a very strange issue occurring on a couple of the modX sites I manage.

    I navigate to the domain.com/manager page to log into the manager and enter the username and password. Upon entering the correct username and password, I click the login button, and the page basically refreshes. No error messages, just a new login page, with the fields blank. I can keep doing this over and over again with no results.

    However, if I click on the "forgot username and password" link, then I actually go into the manager screens. I can also click the "forward" button on my browser and go into the manager pages.

    If I enter the incorrect username/password, then all works as it should. It’s only on entering correct usernames and passwords.

    Basically it seems as if authentication is working, but the redirect to the manager pages isn’t.

    This is a bit disconcerting to the clients. LOL

    Are there any known issues with something like this happening? I’ve done a search, but can’t find any reference to it.

    I’m running ModX 0.9.6.1 on a LAMP environment.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

      Do you have any other manager plugins installed and enabled? Does the user you are logging in with have a manager start page value set when you edit the user settings? Just some ideas to get started...

        This is occuring in the default setup of ModX. So to answer your questions....nope...no other modules or plugings installed. Just "out of the box".

        As far as the start page for the user. Nope....there is nothing defined for the user. It’s occuring on the default "admin" account that is installed when modX is first setup. We don’t have any other users.

        Thanks!!!

          Supplying client and server platform information may help us help you more successfully. I’ve never experienced this issue, but perhaps some one else here has. Likely this is going to be related to the browser being used, but it’s really hard to say without more details about the client being used or the server environment.

            OK..no clue what happened...but the issues seems to have resolved itself.

            <insert spooky music here>

            I’ve tried to recreate it and can’t...so I’m going to chalk this one up to spooky computer stuff.

            Thanks for the help.
