Gallery is good, as is rolling your own using MIGX and MIGXdb - I'm particularly fond of
this one. I haven't had the opportunity yet of using MoreGallery, but I have found ModMore's other offerings to be very impressive, so I rather imagine MoreGallery would be the same.
So - I'm working with Gallery (it's free!). I want to feed a slideshow with the actual photos, not thumbnails. When I use the following, it generates a list of thumbnails.
[[!Gallery? &sort=`rand]]
How do I set up a template that pulls the actual filenames so I can fee a jquery slideshow?

Gallery does that. It has a number of snippets, and they each have chunk tpls to control their output. You can modify the Gallery snippet's thumbTpl to output the main image using a different placeholder. I often use a completely different thumbTpl to generate the HTML that a chosen slideshow expects, in fact Gallery comes with Galleriffic.

You can also use pthumb (another extra, a drop-in reworking of phpthumbof) to resize the full images:
[[+image_absolute:pthumb=`w=300&h=300&zc=1`]]
That is awesome! Thank you. One more question... is there a parameter for pthumb that overlays the image with a watermark?
