hi guys,
i know this has been discussed before but i can not find any new discussions about this topic. if i am blind and have missed them can someone please point me to them thanks.
my issue is which cms to use (evo or revo). i am currently using evolution (lastest version) for websites i build and it works great. an issue is that when a client wants galleries on their sites i use maxigallery and some clients get a little lost moving from the manager to the frontend to add the images. (is there a better gallery plugin?)
also when i look at the extra's page for plugins there is a lot more for revolution then evolution... will evolution stop being updated and revolution take over completely?
i have had a quick look at revolution and the manager looks very modern and easy to use, it somehow feels easy to use. i am sitting on the fence atm, with which way to go. stay with evolution or move to revolution for future projects. (not 100% sure on the pros and cons for both cms')

I think most people who move to Revolution are glad they did. The architecture is far superior to Evo and there are many aids to productivity not found in Evo (like Quick Edit -- that lets you edit any object in a window without losing your place). Package Manager alone, which lets you update extras with a few clicks, would be enough to make me switch.
I've been going back and converting all my old Evolution Sites to Revolution because when I have to work on an Evolution site, I really miss the features of Revolution.
In addition, MODX 3 is coming (someday). Once it's out and stable, I think development will slow *way* down on both Evo and Revo. The transition to MODX 3 will be a *lot* smoother for Revo users.
