Hi all,
I am looking for some recommendations regarding moving our website to the cloud. We currently have a website that has the current specifications:
MOD Evolution 1.0.14
Windows Server 2013
PHP Ver. 5.5.12
MySQL 5.0.11
It is running on Apache Server bundled in with WAMP Server and is a multilingual site which is using the YAMS snippet
We have been instructed to move the site up onto Amazon Web Services as our site gets spikes in traffic from time to time which causes the site to fall over, and have been doing some tests recently and continue to do so. What I would like to know is has anyone gone down this route or should we be looking at going down another route? I have had a brief look at MODx Cloud and from what I can see our site would need to be running on MODx Revolution for this.
Should I be looking to move my site form Evolution to Revolution? I would have to look at the whole language set up again as YAMS isn't available on Revolution.
Thanks for your patience, I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

Can you tell us more about your website and the traffic it receives? Also any information you can provide about the current hosting hardware would be helpful in gaging your needs.
MODX Revolution has media sources, for which there is an Amazon S3 driver. AFAIK, there's no analog for Evolution, which would mean that all your files would still have to be local.
There are several multi-language options for Revolution, but I've never used any of them. Moving a site from Evolution to Revolution can be challenging, especially for a large and complex site.
Sorry, I have no experience at all with multi-language sites.
Babel, Lingua, and migxMultiLang are the only extras that come to mind.
