    Hi all - my site has been working fantastically for the past 9 months, but I woke up yesterday morning to a MODx parsing error that I don’t know how to fix:

    [tt]PHP error debug
    Error: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user ’xtractor_admin’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /home/xtractor/public_html/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php
    Line: 87
    Line 87 source: if (!$this->conn = ($persist ? mysql_pconnect($host, $uid, $pwd) : mysql_connect($host, $uid, $pwd, true))) {[/tt]

    Here’s my particulars:

    MODx v: 0.9.5
    pache version 2.2.8 (Unix)
    PHP version 5.2.5
    MySQL version 5.0.45-community-log
    Operating system Linux

    Any help to bring her off life support is much appreciated!

      Your database sounds like it’s crashed or the users were changed:
      Access denied for user ’xtractor_admin’@’localhost’

        Hey Ryan, thanks for the reply. Is there any documentation on how to restore the Db?

          You might be able to login to phpMyAdmin and repair the tables, or talk to your webhost.
