Dear All
As I expected now I have to expand the site I am doing to be nationwide (if you can call it that here in New Zealand!) . I will possibly have to create several regional association sites all of which have to integrate with the same SMF forum which will be a national forum. The login data to seed the creation of the user tables is from the national body anyway and of course I will need global user logins to get the synchronise with SMF. I appeciate that only one of the sites need be a "master" for SMF sync purposes.
I also appreciate that there may well be some cookie issues I have to address across regions - unless all members have access to all regions!! But I am guessing that all members have full SMF access and only regional access to the MODX main sites.
Is the hack that I have read about to make 9.6 multi site workable yet? I dont actually mind creating a site for every region..all using the same db but with different prefixes then hacking the user table pointers to all point to the same tables. If that is workable then where do I look for those table pointers? Is there a ready made hack or plugin for this?
How far away is 9.7 that does this anyway??
