    Hi, im fairly new to MODx

    My problem,

    I have a menu setup using Wayfinder (this works perfectly). I am wanting to know is it possible to display the content of the page and a TV that can hold an image, that wayfinder is linking to below the link. I can then style the content how I wish with the TV. (as an example, a business card layout)

    If this is possible, how would I go about it?

    I have tried using the same principle as the wf.description, I have TV called bName, i tried, wf.{*bName*} and wf.bName, but with not luck.

    Thankyou for any help in advance

      Did you find a solution? I’m just trying to build a structured FAQ with Wayfinder. And for that, I need to output something like [+wf.content+]

      My first solution was doing it with ditto, but with that, I didn’t manage to build a grouped output like

      group 1
      - faq 1.1
      - faq 1.2
      group 2
      - faq 2.1
      - faq 2.2

      That’s why I started using wayfinder, but now I’m missing the document output.

      Oh, I forgot to say, that when I klick a question, the answer will slide in with mootools.fx

      Is there a way to retrieve the document’s content from within Wayfinder?

      Thanks in advance

        Hi,

        I got mine working correctly, displaying information from the pages. I am only using TV’s that I created.

        The Wayfinder call on the page is,

        [!Wayfinder? &sortOrder=`ASC` &sortBy=`pagetitle` &rowTpl=`bCards` &level=`1` &startId=[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`12`]]!]

        The row table chunk looks like this,

        <div class="businessCard">
        <div class="businessCardHead"><li>[+wf.linktext+]</div>
        <div class="businessCardImg"><img src="[+bLogo+]" width="100" height="70" alt="[+wf.linktext+]"/></div>
        <div class="businessCardDetails"><ul>
        <li><strong>Address:</strong> [+bAddress+]</li>
        <li><strong>Telephone:</strong> [+bTelephone+]</li>
        <li><strong>Fax:</strong> [+bFax+]</li>
        <li><strong>Email:</strong> <a href="mailto:[+bEmail+]">[+bEmail+]</a></li>
        <li><strong>Website:</strong> <a href="[+bWebsite+]" target="_blank">[+bWebsite+]</a></li>
        </ul></div>
        <div class="businessCardMore">[+bDescription+]</div>
        </li>
        </div>

        This is to call a business card style, here is the outcome.

          Thanks for the quick answer. Why didn’t you do it with Ditto?

          I’ll give the TV a try, although I don’t want to understand, why I can get the content of an RTF text TV, but not that of the content itself smiley

          Thx

            I dont really have an answer why i didnt use ditto, just used the current method instead. I think i ran into the same problem of displaying the content as well, hence why i used the TV’s. I hope that helps you out any ways, any more problems let me know, and i may be able to help

              I just had an enlightment smiley

              In my rowTpl, I use the getField snippet:

              [[GetField? &docid=`[+wf.docid+]` &field=`content`]]

              Thanks for listening smiley
