A bridge too far for MODx?

Hi guys,

I’m looking into the feasibility of developing a huge site using MODx. The site would have upwards of 2500 pages, and would be quite high trafficked.
Is this above and beyond the limits of MODx? I was reading on another post and people were saying no more than 500 pages?

Can anyone recommend any other CMS software that may be more suitable that they have used?

Thanks...

It was not 500 pages, but 5000 pages

It’s the current limit beyond which it’s not reasonnable to use MODx, this has been discussed a few times on the forum. Check this discussion which is the reference thread on the matter : http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,18872.0.html

There are quite a bunch of high traffic websites built with MODx, no problem here

excellent. I guess the argument here is really about the hosting platform then.
thank you.
