Security How-to

Does anybody have a link to a security/roles related how-to? I found one specific to ModX last week, but I’ve since lost the link.

I only skimmed the text, but from what I recall the author set up up several new users, disabled/deleted the default accounts, assigned new roles, etc. Good stuff.

I’ve tried Google, but no dice. Thanks in advance.

I think http://modxcms.com/manager-roles-groups.html was what I had seen. I’m sure this thread will help others familiarizing themselves with security, roles, access permissions, groups, web groups, etc.

This is a little off-topic, but while I recognize that security/groups are due to change in 9.7, in IMHO any topic that starts off with "Before You Begin" should be widely linked-to inside the documentation. Preferably, at the end of http://www.modxcms.com/installation-and-configuration.html there would be a section like "Next Steps."
