I am hosting 2.3.1-pl on GoDaddy.
The installation went well and the setup worked perfectly.
I am no trying to install Packages such as TinyMCE and Wayfinder, but the when I go to Extras / Installer. Select my provider as MODx.com, then try to download any package, it just shows downloading and never copies the package onto my server.
Any recommendations of work arounds, besides having to FTP the package to the site myself.

Do you have any errors that could explain the problem?
This is usually the result of mod_security settings at the host. Several others have reported this at GoDaddy.

You will need to monitor the mod_security logs, as the rule(s) causing the problem(s) will vary based on the ruleset(s) in use.
Thanks - how do I go about managing the mod_security rules???
If the host is responsive, they should be able to figure out which rules are being violated and change them for you (or turn off mod_security altogether for the Manager folder). You can't do it yourself unless you have control of the server.

How you manage the rules will depend on your server configuration and if you have root access. I would recommend keeping mod_security enabled and just disable the rule(s) on a per site basis. The rules do generally offer a decent boost of protection overall.
