Hello, i have many problems with FF on mac os X . It seems to be a font conflict with «Helvetica Neue». With Chrome, i have no problems. (Modx or not Modx)

One can always try installing the fonts yourself. It looks like an anti-aliassing problem to me, but see if reinstalling the fonts does the trick for you.
