    Hello,

I’m new to ModX and I’d like to know if there’s a way to create a simple image fader/rotator. MaxiGallery is great, but it seems like overkill for what I want to do. For this particular page I don’t need thumbnails, I just want to fade between a series of images.

I’m looking for something non-Flash. I’ve done this in the past with jQuery, but I’m a designer not a developer and I don’t want to mess with any potential conflicts between jQuery and mootools/prototype.

    Thanks for any assistance. huh

On the front end, it doesn’t really matter what you use for normal websurfing. If you don’t care about using QuickEdit, then it doesn’t matter at all what you use. MODx doesn’t really restrict your output in any way so use what you’re comfortable with.

there is the SimpleSlideShow snippet that does this based on images in a folder. But as-is the fade only works in IE. You may be able to change the JS method and get it to work globally.
