Oopos, just installed it, but I got "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /xxx/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/34.include.cache.php on line 87"
I use in a tpl chunk for a getresources call:
[[+tv.something::getTvDisplayName]]
Any idea?

Hm. I wasn't even able to install it with Package Manager.

Installed it manually. And indeed there is an extraneous '?' at the end of the snippet code. Delete it. I suspect it's a relic of a closing PHP tag, which snippets do not use.
I deleted the extra ? at the end of the code. Now I don't get parse error but still not working via getresources. Displays nothing. Neither name or value.

Are you really using double colons? Try it with just one.

I got it working using pdoResources like this:
[[pdoResources? &context=`web` &parents=`0` &includeTVs=`DisplayName` &processTVs=`1` &tpl=`displayNameTpl`]]
And the chunk:
<li>[[+pagetitle]] - [[+tv.DisplayName:getTvDisplayName=`tv.`]]</li>
