Answered Multilingual Extra ?

Hey I recently did a tutorial for getting the basic setup of migxmultilang.
Once you've got it going it's easy to pick up the more advanced stuff.

That looks like a great tutorial, thank you! Can you tell me if I will be able to install migxmultilang on an existing site that already has many resources, templates, and TVs?

migxMultiLang in its current version does use a special snippet at the template to get and cache the translated content for each language.
And it does use pdoTools - snippets to get values of translated fields with queries.

you would need to change some parts (templates,snippet-calls,placeholders) on exsiting installations

Thank you Bruno! I realized also the site uses Redactor as the RTE, not TinyMce. Do you know if that will be compatible with migxMultiLang?

since the translations are done with MIGX, yes, MIGX does work with Redactor.

Hey Bruno,

I've done the tutorial and everything is working fine but I have one issue. I can only click the edit button once on a language in the resource editing page. Once I'm done editing that language, I can't get back into it nor can I edit another language. The pop up window just stops working. Any suggestions.

I'm having the same problem did you already found a solution? When i take a look in the my element inspector it has some problems with the ext-all.js file. The first time I can edit, the second time I click the edit button I get TypeError: Cannot read property 'style' of undefined and the third time (and all that follow) i get an the TypeError: Cannot read property 'bringToFront' of undefined.
