Manager page not loading

    I created a website a long time ago (not sure what version of modx is installed) and trying to access the backend, however the manager screen is not loading and just resorts in the current screen being refreshed. I have checked the error logs and there are no errors. Do I need to do something with the cache files?

      I have just looked at the error log via cpanel and have this error:

      ../manager/.htaccess: Invalid command 'php_flag', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration


      Does the .htaccess file need updating?

        You can rename .htaccess in ht.access ?

          Thanks that's great I was able to log in and make the changes. However I did have a few error messages as follows:

          Deprecated</b>: mysql_escape_string(): This function is deprecated; use mysql_real_escape_string() instead. in <b>/home/.../public_html/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php</b> on line <b>123</b>




          Also do I change the ht access file and rename it back to how it was?
