Help with simple drop down menu and child items

Can anyone please help me add a dropdown menu to my site.

My site is at http://www.eastcoastlacrosse.co.uk/modx/playlacrosse/ and I have problems with the menu. For example the heading "latest news" is a container and there two published documents under it. However when I add these to the menu they appear as a main menu item, rather than a sub menu of "latest news".

How can change that?

To get a drop down menu I followed the guide here:

I added the first part to my template in place of the previous menu code.

I then created the two snippets as shown in the guide.

However I still do not have a drop down menu.

The html is OK. You have Home, Mens, Women’s, News, Contact in the top level and win is a sub of news. I think that your problems are with CSS. The styles for the dropmenu are not loading. You need to get the css and place it n a file and change the href to point to your style. You can get the style used in the example here:

I downloaded the css and created the directory used in the example and placed it there but still no luck.

I have temporarily removed my other menu items and just left Latest news and Home. but still the child of Latest news is shown on the menu outright and not as a sub menu.

If I remove "display in menu" then everything fits on the page again but I have no way to access the page "win"

When I add allow child items to the menu they take up a menu space outright rather then being a drop down of the parent.

Most people here must have a dropdown menu of some sort.

Can anyone help please?
