Answered More permissions hell

I have two Revo 2.2.15 sites.

Both sites have the same Policy Template and the same Policy. I know, because I exported them from the working site and imported them to the non-functional site.

Both sites have the same user group, using the same policy, with the same context access for both web and mgr.

There are no resource groups involved on either site.

Both sites have the same user, with the same Access Permissions.

Both sites have the same Media Source.

Both sites have the same file structure.

Both sites have the same NewsPublisher installation and configuration.

On both sites appropriately logged-in users can edit and save their own pages.

This site http://newspublisher2.sottwell.modxcloud.com allows the user to edit his own page, and in the TinyMCE Insert Image popup can use the Browser icon to access the file browser to manage his own images.

The other site gets sent to the Manager login page when clicking on the Browser icon in the Insert Image popup.

Does anybody have any idea why it works on the one site but not on the other?

Well I had the same issue and I lost my patience and i start to make my user and group and all the stuff again from zero and surprise now it's working... i am guessing my problem was somewhere at the media source, cuz the second time when i made my user and all the stuff i make the same copy of the first sites permissions, media sources etc, but with copy paste, not import and stuff..

So try to verify again the media sources and group policy..
