    Last weekend our hoster did update the php version, so our page (modx 1.0.5) dd not work any more. He then put in the backups from last Friday and downgraded PHP to 5.3. Now the side works again all ok, but unfortunately the modx manager is not able to edit/create pages any more

      In short, you need to upgrade to 1.0.14.

      If you ignore the MASSIVE security risks with the older version, they simply don't support newer php versions. Keeping in mind PHP 5.3.x is now end of life and most hosts will start phasing it out if they haven't already, we loop back to you will need to update sooner than later.

        Hi and many thanks for the answer. I followed your suggestion and updated to 1.0.14. Now all works perfectly.

        BTW, during updating I found a strange piece of code at the end of .htaccess:
        <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
        				RewriteEngine On
        				RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} (google|yahoo|slurp|bing|msnbot|yandex) [OR]
        				RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} (zzzzzz)
        				RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /$ [OR]
        				RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} (html|htm|php|phps|shtml|xml|xhtml|phtml|asp|aspx)$ [NC]
        				RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !sitemap_xml_xml.php
        				RewriteCond /home/httpd/vhosts/oursite.com/httpdocs/sitemap_xml_xml.php -f
        				RewriteRule ^.*$    /sitemap_xml_xml.php [L]
        				</IfModule>

        Is this the MASSIVE security risks AMDbuilder did mention? Looks like someone hacked our site and blocked us from being listed at search engines.. or do I interpret this code wrong??
        I made a new Post for that question: https://forums.modx.com/thread/92998/was-our-site-hacked#dis-post-508061

        Thanks again and regards
