    I had a client ask me why the ’Remember Me’ button on the manager login does not work. I never worried about this but she seemed concerned that it wasn’t working and I could not answer her question. Is there a setting that I have missed that enables this feature to work?

    I am not sure what it is supposed to do so I don’t know if it is working or not.

      I have the same issue with it, it doesn’t always work and I never really looked into it... I guess it’s either session based (and or cookies) but I never looked this up...

        My experience has been that it does but not for very long!

        check out WebLoginPE. It’s a great snippet that will give you what you are looking for.

          manager/processors/login.processor.php line 250
          if($rememberme) {
              $_SESSION['modx.mgr.session.cookie.lifetime']= intval($modx->config['session.cookie.lifetime']);
          } else {
              $_SESSION['modx.mgr.session.cookie.lifetime']= 0;
          }

          which baffles me...

          It appears to be set on installation (in the system_settings table) at an arbitrary 604800, but I don’t find anywhere where it can be modified. So apparently it’s based on the session cookie, but of course server garbage collection will destroy the session file at various intervals depending on server configuration. I wonder if this "feature" is the cause of some of the odd occurrences of manager misbehavior?

            Not really, since WebloginPE handles web users and not manager users wink

            Funny nobody ever came accross the same conclusion, but maybe that’s because users dismiss the remember features not working as unimportant as I did...

            Anyway, that’s worth opening a ticket to get to the bottom of it !
