    Hi,

    I've just upgrade to 2.3 from 2.14 via modxcloud and been have a few issues with the manager.

    The main one being is any changes i make to a template don't actually save. I don't get an error on screen, but viewing the logs i have:

    [2014-08-13 15:37:25] (ERROR @ /connectors/element/template.php) Processor /paas/XXXXX/www/core/model/modx/processors/update.php does not exist; Array
    (
    [action] => update
    )

    I can't actually find the update.php file in this install, or in any other modx installs.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,

    Ben

      Hm. That's odd, I just upgraded every one of my dev sites on the Cloud with no problems. Did you submit a ticket to Cloud support?

        Yeah reported it a while ago but no response yet.

        What's strange is all my back ups have disappeared as well so can't roll back to 2.2.14 but not sure if this happened after upgrade or after clicking the re install core files, which I clicked to try and fix this issue.

          Out of curiosity, is this an ams server, or texas? I've had odd things happen with the ams servers.

              Yeah. For a long time now I've been of the opinion that somebody needs to go kick the ams server admins in the ankle. I try to remember to use texas servers when I create new Clouds.

                @bennyb - did you manage to sort this? I have just done an upgrade from 2.2.14 to 2.3 and can't edit any templates.

                  1. Make sure that the files have been updated in the core and the manager directories.

                  2. Make sure your cache and cookies for the domain are clear. Sometimes an old .js file is in the browser cache.

                  3. Delete the core/cache directory and all of its contents.

                    Hi Jonleverrie,

                    Sorry only just seen this. I solved be rolling back as I was on modx cloud and upgraded back to 2.3. This seemed to solve the issue so not sure what exactly when wrong. Sorry can't be of any more help, but the points Susan makes normally solves most issue like this for me.

                      Whenever I see the words "upgrade" and "can't save" I immediately think of mod_security as the most likely culprit. If Susan's suggestions don't work, ask your host to look at the mod_security logs at a time when you failed to save something.
