Newby - just a plain ol' redirect in xxx.com/yyy format

Hi Team,

I'm a complete newby, so please forgive me if this is an obvious question, but I can't find an answer anywhere else.

I've been asked by my charity to do a redirect that's going to be used in the print media that's in the xxx.com/yyy format.

Every other CMS that I've seen can do this, and I've tried to do it via a Weblink as per the attached screenshot. When I click 'view' it works goes to the sub-page, but trying to type it straight into the browser fails.

We're at the mercy of the developers, but I'll see if they can download the package. I must admit, though, that I'm surprised this functionality isn't available out of the box - how many companies wouldn't need a short url at some stage?

MODX is divided into the core system and extras, and the core system is defined narrowly. Installing an extra through the package manager is a piece of cake, and no different from wordpress for example.

So its not really true that this function isn't available "out of the box", because the extras are in the box too.
