[Solved] How to downgrade from mysql 5 to 4?

I need to downgrade from a MySQL 5 Server to a 4.1 Server - how would I do that? If I only

- backup the 5.0 database and import the SQL into my 4.1 Server and
- change manager/includes/config.inc.php to my new account settings

then MODx runs into trouble ("no database connection"). What do I miss here?

Have you tried clearing the cache (in the MODx Manager)? What you’ve done seems to be okay, so I suspect the old settings may be in the cache still.
