Recently, I ma experiencing an issue with server becomes almost unresponsive after clearing the cache / saving a document. I am using Amazon EC2 (8 vCPU/30GB Ram) instance with RDS and MODX Revo 2.3.1. CPU usage is 100% for about 10-15 minutes. Turning off the database cache makes things a little bit better. After turning off Alias Map cache, I can't get resources alias in snippets anymore, so, I set it to 'on'. Have anyone faced the same issue? For your understanding, I have about 10000 resources, 34 contexts and about 10 thousands visitors a day. I understand its a high pressure on the server, but ~10 minutes for caching? I switched to APC cache, but no luck.

I will really appreciate any help here.
    Thanks in advance.

You need some serious changes for that kind of a site. memcached, for one thing. And a separate installation for Manager activity. I'm playing around with the concept now, but you should talk to Ryan and the MODX team about this. You're in the big leagues and you need to get the big boys working for you. It'll cost you, but it'll be worth it.

CacheMaster might help some. It would provide more granular cache clearing.

I've tried memcached (even on a separate server) - no luck. Database request, as I understood, is responsible here. So, unfortunately, doesn't matter where collected cache is stored.
I will contact them, of course, if problem remains. Thanks!

Great and pretty simple plugin! But still, saving a resource clears all the cache (if "Empty Cache" checkbox checked)? I will try it with "uncheckEmptyCache" property enabled and post some results here.

Can I replace the modx Cache Manager with fastcache? Should try this too. Fastcache, basically, will do the same job as Bob Ray's CacheMaster plugin.

            Thanks for your responses!
