How does one let users change their user details?

What I’d like is to have new users register. Then when they login, be taken directly to their user details page where they can update their details before browsing up, and verify they belong to a certain User Doc Group.

I know about using Roles, but I get impression that letting a User group edit and manage users, that they would have access to ALL users, and not just their own. That plural in back end, users, be it Web or User, really throws me off and I can’t afford to trial and error it with active users.

I did a search but didn’t find anything about letting users edit/manage their own details.

I understand Personalize, WebSignup, etc but I’m simply not seeing a snippet call to let users edit their details.

WebLoginPE snippet is a great extension of WebLogin and it allows users to update their personal details. It can handle all typical tasks connected with the user’s account. WebLoginPE is not a part of the standard MODx distribution. You need to download and install it manually.

Have you used it? I’m not seeing how it lets users login and edit their MODx default User info details. The default MODx install has a change password snippet, so you’re saying that WebLoginPE lets users edit the default user tables?

Nevermind. I re-read through the documentation and see how to use forms to create a page to let users update their details.
