SlideShowPro integration

Hi all

I’ve seen a couple of feature request posts about SlideShowPro integration and would like to know if SlideShowPro Director, or any other method of gallery management for SlideShowPro, is likely to integrated within MODx.

I have integrated SlideShowPro into a MODx site, though I still use separate logins for MODx and SSP Director. Unfortunately, it’s not in a state that could be distributed as a generic add-on, but it may be possible in the future to turn it into something reusable. And it’s definitely possible; I used xPDO to reverse-engineer the SSP database tables to get direct access to the gallery/image data and do things like get random thumbnails to display on the site.

Your development skills are somewhat more advanced than mine! so i guess i’ll have to wait until SSP Director is an add-on

Would a bog-standard SlideShowPro gallery be possible - for example just embedding the swf, getting all the relevant image directories in place, and then editing the xml page as and when? This way no php is required as the Director cms is not needed.
