Answered Change Context Key in URL for New Resources Buttons?

    I have a complex site with about 60 contexts. The majority of my users do not have access to the web context - instead they just have access to mgr and their own respective context. When these users click on the new resources buttons at the top of the resource tree (e.g. new document, new weblink, etc), the url that is generated includes 'context_key=web' rather than the correct context for which they have access.

    How should I approach this? These users will only have access to mgr and one other context and I'd like to have the URL correctly reflect the context for which they have access? I have no idea where to even begin to tackle this problem. Any suggestions appreciated!

      I need to set the default_context for each user.

        Or, update to 2.3, set the default_context on the user group level (so you don't have to create it for each individual user), and let them use the new + symbols per context wink

            I'd love to - and I'm looking forward to upgrading - but it's a pretty substantial revo install that will involve some coordination with our offices scattered across two states. Part of me just wants to blow through and upgrade the whole thing now, but I suppose I should do some testing!!!

            The + symbol looks great.... however it doesn't solve the problem for weblinks, symlinks etc right? [ed. note: webandflow last edited this post 12 years, 2 months ago.]
