    Hi,

I need to upgrade my MODX sites for security reasons only I want to back-up the sites first. So can you let me know how to do a total back-up of the website I have built and then how to upgrade to the newest release? I am a designer not a programmer so find the tech site a bit tricky (esp MySQL/PHP/databases etc - I have no idea!)

The ancient Evo module and stand-alone backup package works great in stand-alone mode. You can either feed it the database login information in its config file, or modify one line in the code to point to your config.inc.php file.

I'm in the process of porting it into a CMP backup and restore solution for Revo.
