I have a project that I have finished but the client firm’s IT department will only have a server ready for it latter on (who knows when, they have there own agenda). I have been waiting for a while and am tired of waiting, need to move on. This site has a custom resource path for each manager user, there are over 30 of them. I am wondering if I could use the base_path variable in the manager user resource path field in the manager? So instead of having the real path I could use a variable like:
    [(base_path)]/custom/user/resource/path

If not is there a way that I could hack the code to include the base path in the resource path and just have the custom destination set in the manager. So that in the manager I only need to set:
    /custom/user/resource/path
and have the base_path information recorded before the custom path.

    Hope this makes sense. shocked

EDIT: maybe the way to go is to intercept the rb_base_path var and add the base_path to it like:
    $rb_base_path = $base_path.$rb_base_path
Then I can set only the custom part of the path in the manager and have it fill in the base path info. Then when they move the server the rb_base_path will be configured correctly. Will this work? Where do I need to make this edit?

Edit 2: I cant figure out where to make this edit. Do I need to do this in the resource editor’s config files?
