MODx for Blog use

How many of you use modx to power a blog? I have read over the blog tutorial and it seems to describe something simple. Has anyone used modx to create a more complete blog that could compete with the features of WordPress?

I plan on using modx for custom applications for my web clients, I just want to get a blog on my own site up quickly. I would like to use modx in the long run if it could compete on features with WordPress.

I think most people here would say for an all singing, all dancing, out of the box and ready to go blog then WordPress might be the first choice.
But, if you want to use MODx for other sites then using it for your own blog will probably help you accelerate your MODx learning curve and pay dividends in the long run.
You can pretty well get most of the blog functions you’re likely to need from MODx with some customisation.
