    I’ve just done an install of MODx on a new web server, the install went fine but I’m getting errors all over the manager. Most seem to look like this:

    Warning: include_once(/home/suburbia/public_html/assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.lang.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 12

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/suburbia/public_html/assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.lang.php' for inclusion (include_path='/home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/') in /home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 12

    Warning: include_once(/home/suburbia/public_html/assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.functions.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 13

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/suburbia/public_html/assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.functions.php' for inclusion (include_path='/home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/') in /home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 13

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function getTinyMCESettings() in /home/suburbia/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 71

    MODx also doesn’t find my images or css.

    It seems to me that the document root is incorrect, and it seems to be going from the root directory of the server not the site root:
    /home/suburbia/public_html/assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.functions.php
    should be:
    /assets/plugins/tinymce212/tinymce.functions.php

    I think thats the problem, does that sound right? Any ideas?

      That’s exactly what it should be. Don’t confuse the web root (url) with your server root (path).

      What it looks like is a problem with the upload of the TinyMCE plugin. Try just uploading that (assets/plugins/tinymce.whatever) again.

        Ok so server root is correct and as you can tell I do get confused by servers...

        So forget those errors for the moment, why aren’t my images or css working? They are document relative right? So:
        /public_html is the site root so my assets should be ’assets/css/xxxx’ and ’assets/images/xxxx’ right?

          Ok thanks, re-uploading the plugins sorted the error and everthing else was down to the permissions being wrong on every item in the assets folder....

            Hi All,

            I am having a similar problem. I don’t understand how to set up the resource path or the resource URL so that wneh I go to add an image the resopurce browser will find the images. How can I tell what the settings are / should be. I am in desparate need of help so that my client will be able to upload images.

            Many Thanks in advance.

              You can get the file paths and urls for your site by going to Reports -> System Info, then click on the "view" link for phpinfo(). Scroll to the bottom of the phpinfo output, and you’ll see a number of lines that specify the path of your site’s files.

              Make sure that the individual user’s settings aren’t set to something different; they should be blank or checked to use the default site settings.

                You can also put this in a snippet and it will display the root path.

                <?php
                return $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
                ?>
