I am really struggling with TVs and View Port and whatever else is necessary for loading external content (from another domain). My site requires something similar to an iframe, and from all that I’ve read, it seems as though MODx offers a more elegant (and standards-compliant) solution.
I can get as far as creating a new TV and setting the widget as View Port... from there though, I’m lost. How do you assign the external URL to this TV, so that it will display the content when called? What would that call look like? It would be more than [* TVname *], correct?
I swear that I have thoroughly read the documentation, but I haven’t found an example / explanation that makes sense. The View Port page in the documentation doesn’t break it down enough for me. Any help is appreciated!

[* TVname *] should be entered without spaces (unless spaces is part of your TV name.
Then the TVname widget is set to...
Input Type = URL
Default Value = http://your_url
Template Access = the template you want to have access
