List Items on a Resource

Hi. I want have a dynbamic list dispkayed on a resources. Each list item only bears a date, headline and then a paragraph of text. With this smally I do not want to use an entire resource extra like Collection or Articles.

I want to have TV where one can add as many item as required and then output the TV on the parent resource via getResources or as a standalone TV call ([[*TV]]. Looking around I think MIGX can fix this but never used it and need to learn but I maybe wrong.

Any idea if MIGx can do this or if there are other possibilities. Thanks in advance.

Right, I do not want Child-resources. I'm looking at a scenario were you add item to the list by just filling as many of the same input TV field as required. Say for instance this list:



For this you have a TV entry called DirectionItems. You enter 'Take Left' for first item and then click 'Add more' button that allows you to add the others 'Go Straight' and 'Then turn right' using the same DirectionItems template variable.

It will be foolhardy to have to create three additional resources just create this sort of list for positioning, say on a sidebar.

That is exactly what MIGx is good for. MIGXdb allows for using the database for storage, either using existing tables like the tutorial listed above does or custom tables, while regular MIGx uses the existing template variables storage, where it's stored as a JSON array string in the site_tmplvar_contentvalues table.
