Pritty weird, I can't seem to update modx 1.0.3.
When uploading 1.0.14 and go to /install the browser is blank.
Never had this problem before.
PHP Version 5.3.17
MYSQL 5.5.28

What do you see in the server logs? It sounds like PHP failed to fully process the page(s) in question resulting in the white screen.
Or some of the files didn't get transferred or got truncated. This is common if you use FTP to transfer them individually.
I did re-upload all install files 2x and really think that wasn't the issue.
When I look at the logfile I see;
RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost' does NOT match server name!?
