    Hi there,
My provider has a server module installed that will prevent a rapid reload of pages.
This would provide a measure against ddos attacks.

If I now have a page in the admin area but the save is successful message appears, then then an error message of the server.
further actions are not possible for a short time.

the provider has informed me that modx when saving the page very often and reloaded quickly. the number is above the permissible value of the module.

ask: that is indeed the case? many reloads when saving?
    I'm interested already ...

I have asked the provider to put the values high. so the pages work again.

    Thanks

MODX is very ajax centric, so probably that caused this.
When resource is saved, there are tens to hundreds of processes do their jobs, from core's controllers to extra plugins' controllers.

There is indeed a minimum server requirement to make your host able to handle MODX.

There are some people in this community that support this.

I highly doubt what your provider is doing is for DDOS protection, and if that truly is their intent you might want to change providers. Generally, a DDOS attack is going to be a flood of traffic for example millions of computers attempting to connect to the server at once. Good DDOS protection the attack is stopped long before it reaches the server, let alone your website.

A visitor clicking through your website rapidly isn't going to cause a DDOS attack, what might happen is an increase in server load, but that shouldn't be debilitating. If the server is drastically oversold they might need to take drastic measure such as rapid click protection - You have bigger problems in my book.

That being said if you need some good MODX hosting providers check out: http://bobsguides.com/modx-friendly-hosts.html I'm personally a fan of the first host and know MODX support is a primary concern for them.
